As the daylight grows shorter and the air gets cooler, depression creeps stealthy into my being. Even after listening to a stirring homily yesterday about how faith should diminish your worries, I still feel pessimistic about my future.
My classes haven't bad, but they aren't great either. I think that is what's preventing me from pursuing urban education fellows program. Ugh, what am I going to do? I don't know what I want or need. Or what I should do. Everything is just so out of reach and I cannot seem to find success in anything in my life.
I can make a solid list of what I lack, but cannot think of a single thing I possess.

Ok, so I'm looking to purchase one of those semi-pricey teeth whitening kits. My teeth are looking about ten years older than my skin and on the verge of passing into the second half of my twenties, I want to fix that.
Any recommendations?

So exciting, D & C wedding is tomorrow! My sorority sisters always have the best weddings, not to mention the groom is a pretty awesome man too.
I'm wearing my favorite LBD with pears, even though my friends from Texas are stunned at the idea that we wear black dresses to wedding here in the north. I don't think it's that appaling considering it is a fall wedding. Plus I'm bringing a bright colored pashmina to lighten it up. *note to self* Don't forget Spanx.

Nothing like rainy days in September.
Before the leaves turn and the air is chilly, the damp and tepid weather makes my rust belt city seem more like Dublin.
I hope the rain keeps up all day.

02:57 pm - A subconscious choice?
After my trip to the library last night, I realized that I checked out a book I have already read, Girls on the Verge. Duh. Oh well,I might just read it again.
The last time I read it was over 3 years ago and that particular summer I consumed books like a fiend since I bring them to work. Something else probably contributed to the borderline-compulsive nature of my 2-3 books a week habit, but even in the darkest moments of our life we still can subtly grow into better people.

01:52 pm - Writer's Block: Your Favorite Series: One Last Go Round
Although I joined the fandom of this show not so long ago, I would agree that Firefly needs at least one more season. Even though there is little pure originality in the series (the main characters are sci-fi stock placed in typical western spagetti tangles), the show was kept fresh by the talented cast and the snappy script.
